Sorry...I've got a real sore spot when it comes to drunk drivers. As far as lively, one of these days I'll have to tell you about the fare that grabbed my coochie! (I used to drive a taxi...I'm FKA Cabbiechick on CF)

I'm the 'Security Admin' (well, WAS) over there. I ran the servers, secured the boxen, managed the backups, and optimized software, etc ......I'm not sure WHAT I do anymore .....I still have a title, can still access the adminCP but I more or less feel displaced....I spent MANY long days and longer nights troubleshooting shit, optimizing shit, recompiling software, etc.... to make CF run on hardware that most folks would consider 'sub-standard' at best (at least for what we were asking it to do)....And I enjoyed every minute of it The new folks brought their own people in to do what I did, so I'm considering myself 'homeless' ...
As far as 'sold out' ....I'll tread lightly on this subject as it's sore on both sides, but I can say this...the Previous owner could have made a shitload more if he'd 'sold out' a year ago when they offered instead of telling them to piss off .......holding out cost him ALOT of scratch, but it was a last resort, not a first... (yes, I'm fairly close to the situation as I'm good friends with Rez and his wife.....hell, he was my best man @ my wedding years ago) That's really all I can/should say publicly, but I do want the displaced folks to know that it was the last resort Last edited by Zeos; 11-09-2008 at 11:17 PM.. |

Hey Zeos, I thought the mods were collectively (i.e you and a few others) paying for the hosting??? Did that not work out?

ya know... I just had a thought... we should all have an agreement... when VS comes to buy out TWFix... we take them for the most $ we can... stick around through the year they have the Admin under contract... then create a new forum... use the $ to sponsor a track day rally or some shit! |
