Biggest difference in age between any girl I've gone out with, and me, was 23 years (she was 20 at the time). No one seemed to think that it was particularly creepy, but we had absolutely nothing in common. OTOH a friend, who is a few months younger than me, was 'in a serious relationship' with a 18 year old, at the same time, and people definitely thought that was creepy. Interesting how just a few years can make all the difference.

Once the lowest age involved is around 30, these issues seem to disappear.

... unless one of the people uses a walker.

It's never creepy for an old man to date a girl as long as she is legal. It is creepy for a 18yo guy to date any woman above 50, unless they want the famous gum job.

When I was touring as a bassist, our drummer was notorious for getting laid at every town. His luck was phenomenal, even if his taste was occasionally questionable.

We did a gig at Catalina's in LA (on Cahuenga blvd.), and a friend of my mom's came to the show. She was a grande dame, but let's face it, it was pushing it.

The drummer ended up with her that night. The next day we all asked if he got the gum job. The look on his face when he realized just how far over the line he'd gone said everything.

We razzed the shit out of him for the next 3 days.
