The big heavy bike version acted as a tail gate extender as well.
I do something similar, except instead of a ramp I have a craftsman folding bench that I walk up on. It's easier to store and gives me seating....

yep, but I don't have a sportbike and own just high clearance dual sport/adventure bikes, so that's not an issue for me.

For sure...

It worked great. very sturdy and I was thinking the same thing. That was the 6.5' bed so the tail gate had to be down.

Well you see why I have mine strapped to the truck so they won't move or slide out. VERY IMPORTANT.

The guys sitting in the lawn chairs in the garage watching it all made me chuckle more than the guy dropping that pig.

"Clem, you got a beer?"

"Yep."

"This should be good."

"Yep."

"Oh! Damn! Did you see that Clem?"

"Yep."

my ramp has two chains that attach to the bed of the truck to prevent it from slipping off, what happened to yours? I have tried to pull my ramp off the tail gate, it won't come off.

May I suggest something more sturdy than zip ties...

ehh I think they'd hold... but if I can find someone who'll weld aluminum, I'll have it tack welded.
