Eh, Its Jersey Really.
I mean Compared to Michigan I'm sure the market is a Diff place...Houses here Dropped ALOT but the Higher End ones are still not That Low. Our range is MAX 210,000 The one I posted is 205,900...We've looked at ones as low as 160,000 But they needed ALOT of work/and or were just shitholes and way to small.

Is this your first house? Getting a fixxer-upper isn't a bad idea if you are handy. Just remember to keep some money aside for landscaping and interior decorations (window coverings,blinds, paint,.... etc.

Yeah Its Our First House. And I'm handy...This one Is not perfect So It would def need some work...And We already know about the Money Issue...We have some extra set aside just for what you mentioned

So the Seller Responded...we Offered 185,000 With Him Putting up 4k to Help offset closing costs...and he Scoffed at us and Said he wants full price...But our realtor pulled some info, House has been on the market for almost a full year he purchased it for 145,000 and Listed it for 250.000
Hes not happy he couldnt flip it b/c the market took a shit... So we'll see...We just Re countered with 190,000 if he doesnt bite...We're moving on.

I'm assuming Over a Year ago...He tried to buy it then Flip it but it didnt work out for him...and hes beeing a greedy fuck and trying to get full asking price.
Whole house rehab just completed. Newer architectural roof. New kitchen and bath includes tile floors, walls and kitchen backsplash. Pergo floor in dining room and hall. New tile and carpet in the lower level family room. New paint and wallpaper throughout. 1 car attached garage Back yard has a very large storage shed with electric and a big deck. Exterior has been painted and landscaped. Big lot in a great family neighborhood. Thats what it says on the Listing...He did do key things to it to improve the price...but not enough to warrant gettign full asking price In todays market...There is another One We have our eyes on as well that we like...Thats why I dont understand why hes being a dick...with the amount of houses out there he should be happy we ave him an offer.

Well if he didn't counter with anything other than full price, he doesn't take your offer seriously. I say fuck em and move on. This is a buyers market. Too many other houses out there.

It almost seems like he blew too much on renovating and thinks he'll be able to recoup the money and still get a small profit by holding at that price.
