I am willing to bet a lot of you guys would get all "road rage" if you got bombarded by snowballs from strangers.

Perhaps, but an officer who carries a firearm as a matter of course should be able to control himself. Had he stayed in his vehicle, there would have been little issue.

This sort of behaviour should result in a suspension, at the very least.

I'm willing to bet I wouldn't pull a gun on someone over it, and I'm furthermore willing to bet that a lot of us guys aren't certified officers of the law.

With 25 years on the police force he should have known that a good ol'fashion baton beat down is all that was needed there.
No jobs? Like college and university students who were already adjourned for the break? Like people who work nights?

Bullshit. He should get the same punishment I would get for brandishing a weapon and making threats that imply deadly force as a result of thrown snowballs. That's a felony brotha.

I wouldn't like it but I wouldn't be pulling my gun out on them in the middle of the street.

My car got egged once and it made my paint spiderweb and I just kept rolling and I stopped a few blocks away and walked/snuck back up there and caught the punks doing it...they were younger and yes I scared them a little but that was about it.

my car has been hit by snowballs many times, and I just keep rolling by. It is only a fucking snowball.
What if someone in the crowd was carrying?
Shootout?

Umm, horseshit. As long as I'm in my car I turn the wipers on and laugh, it's all in fun. They're fucking snowballs man, made of snow.

Could not agree more with this post.

A great question by karl. I'm in my neighborhood, a big black dude gets out of an SUV, waves a gun and starts yelling, and it's on. And I'm kind of hard of hearing, so unless the badge is on the necklace I'll probably make a big mistake, especially since I'm most likely a better shot than the cop. I'm not trying to swell my e-penis, just saying, cops are supposed to protect the public. In this situation the cop failed to protect the public from himself.

And if those snowballs had ice or rocks in them? You wouldn't do anything?
