I drove from home (which I really hate, but oh well). The nearest hotels are in Indio, which is 50 miles away. The track is 143 miles from my house.

Vegas to the track is 228 miles one way....3 hours 38 minutes according to Mapquest. But the thing that sucks is that Indio is the closest to the track and that is another 50 miles west.

Ya, I was pricing hotels there once I found out. If my buddy is down, we're staying in a hotel, fuck that long of a drive.

Funny you ask. Greg White was there (Speed commentator) and I was talking to him about how much weight he lost. He says since he travels alot his eating was shit. I didn't want to get into the whole debate on what to eat on a plane, but the dude lost 37lbs over 2.5 years. Says he just does the pedal bike thing. You would think alot of these higher end up racing type guys would know how to train their body....they don't. lol

Is Greg White a racer? I thought he was just a tv commentator. The good racers are all fit--but they have to stay very light to keep the weight of the overall package down. Last I read Hayden was the heaviest in the paddock at 155. Rossi is 5'11 and 135; Pedrosa 5'2 & 105.

Where'd you get those numbers from?

I know Rossi is skinny but I didn't think he was THAT skinny.
