yep I scored a pretty good price on mine because no one was buying them. I needed one to pull a camper. seen lots of folks around here dump their trucks last time price went up and then had to buy them back when they realized the little car they bought wouldn't haul anything.

I liked how when gas prices went back down, people started buyin gall the gas guzzlers again thinking this wouldnt happen again. Silly people

With the earthquake and toyotas slowdown in production I wonder how that will affect the market for more fuel efficient cars.

yep, that's exactly what they did here. must have been a pretty good deal for car sales. LOL I leave the truck at home and use it just for hauling.

I would think it would result in a benefit for the domestic auto companies, but I don't believe they have figured out how to make money on small cars yet.

Forget trucks, if you really want to get a good deal start shopping for larger boats, figure 26 feet or more. The market for a toy that gets under 2mpg, requires a large truck to move, and when using marina gas costs around a dollar more per gallon isn't likely to be robust.

I live right by the water too, house around the block from me have bulkheads in the backyard, but I was never a big boat person. I ewanted a bigger truck for the wife and all the baby/kid stuff we will be hauling but righ tnow we both have rather long commutes so we will see how things play out.

Not a fucking chance. Now that the oil companies have an excuse to jack prices up they'll keep climbing.
