What property am I "renting" when I use my cellphone? The cell towers and signals?

Maybe, but that's kinda like saying it's OK for my landlord (and the govt) to put a mic & camera in my apartment just because I'm only a renter.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no "right to privacy".
Due to a some supreme court decisions and creative arguments, we have some precedent to rely on and probably a few laws on the books but there is nothing in the constitution or bill of rights that grants everyone a right to privacy.

Certain rights are in abeyance when you're in military service, for obvious reasons. Would you like to come up with another exception?
