I have had some slow downs today, I am investigating with help from the server company. We don't show anymore traffic than last year, yet it's substantially slower.

Think that constant running process of random headers and other little stuff I had running was eating a lot of database processes. It's not really the server that's the issue, it's how they limit database usage that our host is screwing us on. That why you see a lot of database errors instead of 404 pages.

It's largely unusable for me anymore... :-/
It even times out when I go to post now...and none of the search scripts (new, last, etc) are really working.
