I took the picture with my cell phone. I do not have any photo editing software. I tried to play around with it in photobucket but that just seemed to have a bunch of random effects you could add.

Picasa is good for some really, really basic tuning/resizing, and it's free.

Corel Paint Shop Pro is what I used, it's dirt cheap, and they have a 30 day demo version that you can download for free. It'll do everything that you'll likely ever need
