Just getting one of my spare GX-270 systems to run OS-X would simplify my limited Mac support role. Unfortunately I don't think that I'm grounded enough in Unix derivatives to be able to do it.

Huh? Someone was saying that you can't game on a Mac. I'm saying that now you can game or run Windows apps just like you can in Windows if it's a huge deal. New Macs can act just like a Windows computer. What's your point? I'm not suggesting everyone or anyone go out and buy a Mac, I'm just saying that that particular complaint is no longer valid.
Hackintoshes will "work" but they're not supported and they don't seem to manage to do software updates from Apple well. Sometimes the updates break them. If someone wants to build one, more power to em. I have Windows on a virtual machine on my Mac. It's not something I "brag" about. It's there just in case. For instance, my wife needed to back up her Windows work-supplied laptop last week. She had an external drive that she used to use that was FAT32 so she couldn't backup her Outlook database because it was larger than the file size limit of FAT32. I took an old USB external drive of mine and ran Windows in VMWare Fusion to reformat it into a NTFS drive. Windows couldn't even see the drive before because it was HFS+, so we couldn't even reformat it, at least not with my knowledge of Windows. Every once in a while I have some gadget that requires Windows for firmware updates, which is bullshit. But now I can deal with it with little issue. Otherwise I really don't run the Windows VM on my machine. It might get booted up once every other month. |

You mean companies invest solely to cater to the majority that will provide them with the best source of cash flow instead of a small percentage of the population. OMG!!! They shouldn't do that shit!!!

Well 10% of the market isn't exactly insignificant. There are usually companies that are willing to put in the effort for that percentage. Anyway, like I said it's no big deal for me. You seem to be itching for a fight over this subject for some reason and I don't really care. Enjoy your choice and I'll enjoy mine.

I'd like to see actual facts to support that.
