You don't think that in a city of 1 million people, I couldn't find 200 that refused to patronize a single business?
I bet I could find that many in Fargo ND that refuse to do business with WALMART! |

Big-city residents wouldn't give a shit. One liquor store or dry cleaner is as good as another. We don't need to make "friends" with business owners, or pretend to care about how their family is doing. |

Right, cause you have a million people there that don't give a shit.
That is what I hate, and refuse to have to deal with. I know all my neighbors, and pretty much everyone else in town, also, they all know me. If I need something, I know I can call them and ask to borrow/use it if they have it. They also do the same. It's the old sense of helping thy neighbor that has been lost on most people today. Same reason when you go to a rural community and drive down the road, everyone waves. |

You can walk down the street 2 blocks in NY and ask the guy that lives there to borrow their lawn mower? And he will say yes? (and actually knows you)
Oh wait, you don't have lawns in NY, just a bunch of concrete |

I'm just gonna go with the born and raised "big city" people will never understand small town living.
I openly admit that I do not understand big city living. I could never do it. |

Of course, like small towns, each street/neighborhood is a little different. I live out in the suburbs, work in Manhattan while my sister and inlaws live in NYC. Its pretty tight knit. Millions of people always willing to lend a hand\help out. fair enough |
