I have a big 2 stage blower like that at work. They work great on the gravel yards we have at work. They do a great job for the end of the driveway where the snow plow pushes in on you. However they don't clean the driveways perfectly... got to have rubber paddle jobber for that.

My steel catches all the big cracks... I paid $30 for that SOB. The only thing it's missing is that top T-handle.

I thought about this, but seeing as how I AM this service for a few ppl in town, I don't think it would fair too well.
And for the 2 stage not cleaning the driveway perfectly, either you have it set wrong, or the stuff is packed down. If it's packed down, the single stage wouldn't do shit either. Mine cuts all the way to the concrete unless it's been driven over. Then just scrape it with a shovel.

Key here is angle the shovel. If you push at an angle, it will glide right over the cracks.

Cutty. The difference being if you are good with a rubber single you won't have to do the shovel follow up.

Either way for most people a single stage is good enough.

As far as shovel operation. Well it will glide over some and catch other that are sticking up more.

Luckily, I have two year old sidewalks. The cracks are uniform and easy to glide over. The rest is asphalt. So no cracks to worry with. I'm gonna go with the 30" pusher
