My opinion: The type of drama queens selected to be in reality TV shows probably only care enough about their dead (on/off) fiance to the point they can't use the drama to self-promote. In other words, the event itself is an opportunity for them to get publicity and add yet more drama to their lives. I'm not suggesting this is an intentional train of thought, rather that over-dramatic people tend to live their lives in this manner.

I witnessed this type of behavior first hand when my teen-brother died from certain family members who exploited his death for sympathy...because deep down they need the drama, the extreme emotional responses, etc. We all know people like this, and if you've paid attention they are the type selected for the majority of reality TV, and especially for the bottom of the barrel productions like Real Housewives.

So, in regard to Homeslice's original post and giggle, I don't think it was extremely out of line, though of course it would be in bad taste to laugh in her face or send a laugh to her email or mail box.
