I like the tag... "pot heads hate tylenol" lol.

But there is some truth to that, kind of. I don't hate big pharm meds. I'll pop a hydrocodone if it is handy to battle a migraine, I might take an IB to deal with some swelling, NyQuil is my friend if the flu hits and so on...

I gotta say though that it still blows my mind how close minded people are to pot as a legitimate medicine for what ails you. For example, I have this chic on my Facebook who's always in pain for this or that reason, she can't sleep, she's anxious, etc. So she takes Ambien like candy, pops tylenol and hydrocodone, etc. etc. etc. Everytime she posts about pain or not being able to sleep I tell her to go get some herb and its simply appalling to her, which is funny and sad to me.

Yep. I hear ya. One thing is a natural herb that's been used for centuries, has no effective lethal dose, and has never killed a single human...and the other things are chemical concoctions, some of which are responsible for killing hundreds if not thousands each year.

Apparently the government has done a fine job brainwashing a lot of impressionable people.

...and all because Hemp makes over 4x as much paper per acre, per year, than trees.

I just wish you would see with most other shit the government tries to force on us...

I don't think pot is all that of magic wonder drug like you guys claim. It may reduce pain, but eliminate it like asprin, ibuprofen? Not really. Maybe I've just smoked the wrong shit. Tis possible.

You've just smoked the wrong shit, there is a specific strain for different situations.

Well, this may come as a shock to you, but I just may be the poster boy for medicinal use. Of all the things I've tried from Cortico-Steroids to Chemo-Therapy drugs that made my hair fall out, nothing, and I mean NOTHING puts my disease into remission like Cannabis Sativa.

For those playing at home, this is dirt weed. What no one in their right mind would smoke to get high. Most people smoke higher quality Cannabis Indica, which is far more of a "head high". Sativa is a "body high", or more of a muscle relaxant/pain reliever. The mechanisms at play in my condition, however, are multi-fold. Preparations such as Coal Tar, and Pine Tar are effective, and thus so is Cannabis Tar, and Tobacco Tar.

The simple fact is, however, that Tobacco makes me high as a kite and sick - so for me that's out. I can smoke a doobie, and function 100%. If you give me a cigarette, I will get SO HIGH, get the spins, and eventually get a headache, and nausea. It also causes Cancer, whereas Cannabis is actually an Anti-Cancer agent, although it does contain Carcinogens. It also regulates cell division (Apoptosis), which may explain the aforementioned Cancer dichotomy, as well as its effectiveness in my condition.

The simple fact is, if the correct strain is used, it can not only be truly effective, but remarkably safe medicine...and much unlike Tylenol, has never killed a single person. Ever.

For what it's worth, I miss the days when "Colombian", for 15 bucks a lid, was the norm.

Indica bud goes for what these days, about 400 for an oz? Fuck that shit. If I wanted to spend that much time on the couch, I could just eat ice-cream till Diabetes set in.

What was a "lid"?

I've heard the phrase but apparently it was phased out of smokers' vernacular before I was introduced to 'tard's medicine.

A lid was an ounce, back in the day.
