I run. Right now I'm not doing anything but weight training but in April I'll start training (running) again as I'm part of a running series (www.ohiochallengeseries.com). I completed around 14 races last year totaling just over 100 miles (plus 2 triathlons). Not sure how many miles I put in with training time. I know I don't run nearly as much as a lot of people that race with me.

I run on a regular basis and have for years. Still hate it. Will always hate it I suppose but there's no arguing that it works.

Yeah, requirement is a 3 mile march in under 45 min w/45lb ruck. I'm doing ~ 4 miles with a 50lb ruck 2-3 times a week. First time I tried was just the 3 miles, and killed that in 41 min. I'd like to do it in 35 min, but we'll see. |

I remember the thread from last year(?) about them and a few of you were raving about how much you loved them. I was going to bump the thread to see if the fad had worn off or if they were still in use...

Still in use here, got my new pair specifically for walking/running as soon as they came out and have now addicted my father, both sisters and my mom also owns a pair she is usually too embarassed to wear outside of the house.
ETA: My chiro actually highly recommends them for anytime I am not at work, and they have had siginificant impact on how much better my body (knees, hips, back, etc) feel on a daily basis. Now if I could quit hurting myself and needing crutches on a regular basis I'd be golden. |

Do you ever stand for long periods of times in them? I haven't bitten the bullet yet to buy them because I really don't run all that much but I am usually in really flat sneakers with no padding. But for standing all day in really flat shoes, my feet get really achy and my back is SCREAMING in pain by noon. I had to go buy a pair of Nike Air Maxes for the hospital. Just wondering if that is common to hurt if you are standing around all day (not necessarily walking) or is it just me? |
