Verizon is doing something big. They took away the new every two plan and they took away the one year upgrade plan for people who have over $50 voice plans. They made it much more expensive to upgrade. They are making sure that their current customers can't buy new phones. This signals to me that they are getting the iphone and they want them available to new customers instead of people who are under contract.

Which is BS btw.

I've never had trouble with the network, but I'll be glad to see the bitching to stop. Verizon's network will become overloaded from everyone jumping ship and they will suffer the same network issues ATT did when they first launched the iPhone.

The problem with that is Verizon has more customers and has had to deal with it due to droids and blackberries, they focused on the network instead of phones which gave them a much more robust network. A lot of AT&T's issues were from the phone itself as well, as demonstrated by better reception from the iphone 4. I doubt droid users will experience any such issues, where the iphone may still suffer it's issues because of the new antennae radio design. Although the CDMA change could throw a curve ball and actually improve it, give it more reliability.

One thing about cdma, its got fantastic penetration. I'm often still able to move data underground on the subway platform. Much to the amazement of gsm users

I wouldn't use an iPhone if it were free....on principle....I HATE the arrogance of Steve Jobs and the cult of personality he has built.....put the logo on a steaming pile of shit and the fan boys and girls would be standing in line BEGGING for the opportunity to be first to own it.

I have the same issue with Verizon.

I won't get a voicemail until I've missed a few calls, then all of the sudden: 3 (or 4 or 5) voicemails!

I'll also not get texts at random.

I hate AT&T but Verizon is not without fault.
