Shinko's are generally considered a drag tire, hence the quick warm up. |

Yeah the one's that I linked to are the sport touring tires. I'm thinking really hard about getting another set of those tires. I have had two set already and they were awesome for me and my riding style. Yamerhaw did bring up a good point today on the phone, they may do and handle very differently on this bike compared to the Katana. ???
Hell, for the money, I could give 'em a try and see what happens. If I don't like them, I could always sell them for a profit up here. (don't laugh......I'm bad for shit like that )

I've never gotten more than 4,000 miles out of any tire.

Original tires lasted the longest at 5466 miles, they always seem to when the bike is brand new.
Set #2 at 4594 Set #3 at 2036 - needed new ones for 5 days of track time (all within 8 days) Up to this point I had always put the OEMs back on (Bridgestones), but for #4 they were no longer available. I stuck with Bridgestone but chose the BT014. Set #4 at 1582 - another 4 days of straight track time I tend to run lower pressures in them so I don't get as much life out. I'd rather have the grip and sacrifice some life. About once a year I get new tires. Thankfully I can get them pretty cheap. I do a bulk order with a group of friends/co-workers so we get a wholesale discount. |

I usually get 5K out of the tires, either Dunlops or Avons. Good for the riding I do, lots of commuting, some road trips, and a few cornering rides.
