Alright so Mother Nature was being funny (not hah ha funny) today.

Sun came out, rain went away.... weather channel reduced the chance of rain from 50% to 30%.... since it's at least 30% chance of rain EVERY day in Florida, I headed out to meet my friends. And since it was bright, sunny and 80 degrees, I did so in mesh jacket and dark visor. Hah. Bad idea.

Rain came back. With a vengeance. With it came about a 25 degree temperature drop. So, 154 miles later, I'm home, cold and wet. (still, a bad day of riding is better than a day with no riding at all )

We had our first official snow in Denver yesterday, a tenth of an inch. Out here, that's how they measure precipitation. I rode up Lookout Mountain today, but stopped just before the upper switchbacks. At around 7,000 feet and in permanent shade of some evergreens, it looked very shiny and wet. The temp was in the lower teens yesterday night, and I didn't want to chance it being icy.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 60's and Tuesday near 70. I'll be riding with my friend Neal who got a new Suzuki DL650. I only have 70 miles on my new tires, so I'll take it easy on the corners.

I get to go to California Superbike School at Laguna Seca on Monday. Not technically the weekend, but I got the day off, so it is kind of a weekend for me. I'm so excited.

Heading out in about an hour to meet up with a few peeps for an all-day ride. I think we're heading into the Ocala Forest... :woot:

I wish. Been busy the past two weekends and now we have guests coming in for the next couple of weeks. I think my wife's friend's husband rides, though...so when they are here maybe I can get him out for a ride in the mountains.

I am hoping to do the Pridmore Star school at the Streets...eventually!

What part of San Jose are you in? I grew up right by Los Gatos.

Well while it's not THAT cold here, it is friggin cold as hell.... Holy shit.... Put on the leather and the gauntlets this morning and headed out. 20 miles to the meet spot, by which point, I couldn't feel my fingertips (I could find neither my liner for my leather jacket, nor my silk glove liners this morning). Rode a ways out, stopped for lunch, and then half of us split off and came home rather than heading farther south into the forest. Still managed some 220 miles today, but DAYUM I'm still cold!!
