Personally I use Avast on my home systems, previously used AVG till they changed to their latest version.....
In re: to the original post -- Yeah, 4 hours in I'd say time to push a replacement OS to the tablet. Might be painfun, but easier than dealing with Symantec's shitty ass system. I run the McAfee ePO setup out here.... It's not without faults, but IMHO it's better to manage and deploy to an enterprise compared to Symantec's P.O.S. (however, gotta love Symantec Mail Security for Exchange!). |

I'm running Avast free. Don't need much else. I used to use AVG until it turned evil.
Fuck Norton I have Ubuntu dual booted on this laptop so I use it a lot as well. With it I don't really have to worry myself with viruses.

lol far from super. Relax, just fucking with you bro.
Point being so many people worry "oh, I don't want to get a virus" --- when there's more malicious games afoot. |

.... that's the general attitude of most Mac owners.
Which surprises me as Mac's have gotten a smidgen more of the market share since the whole iPod/iPhone craze. There's still plenty of security vulnerabilities..... |
