I have a full Toshiba laptop and a Toshiba netbook. The netbook won't play 1080p youtube videos well but it has no problem with 720p. Internet runs just fine. I only paid $280 for mine.

Honestly, my full laptop is not far from dying (without charger batterly life is about 10minutes) but when I do get a new computer, it will be a desktop. I'll keep the netbook for school and a desktop for home.

I think Gateway has a very nice netbook that even has 3gb of ram.

I'd rather have a tablet than a netbook.... My sister scored a transformer for $220. It destroys my netbook.

Interesting timing. I just ordered a new set-up so I can edit HD videos. I will not have use for my old system much longer and would like to see it go to good use. Short of editing h.264 files, it's been a titan and hasn't let me down.

Dell Inspiron (I think)

Windows XP Professional SP3
MS Office 2003 including MS Project, Visio, and Publisher
Pentium 4 3GHz
NVidia HD Graphics card

No monitor though - I have to keep that for my new set-up.

I worked and paid my way through school and would like to help someone out that's trying to better themselves. My new system gets here 11/30. Once I get all my fiels moved over, if you cover the cost of shipping she's all yours.

Get a third party harddrive eraser so it'll "really" delete your porn stash. Lol

Its amazing how much stuff you can find on a "supposed to be" deleted harddrive. Got a guy on a PC forum that finds old harddrives and scans them for giggles.

People still keep porn on their computer? I thought that's what all the Tube sites were for.

Appreciate the heads up though. I've done some data recovery on crashed M2 memory cards (thanks Sony) and know just what "deleted" means. Nothing.

Are they capable of Microsoft Word and other office products. Those are very vital to college students especially if a business student. Also what capacity do they hold?

I got a netbook before my trip to Dubai so I could take video and pictures with my contour 1080p cam and digital camera. I'm sure they have enough memory to store a lot of videos but can you get camera hardware to work on a tablet? And do they even have a normal USB port?

Also I have to have a keyboard. I see those keyboard things people get but I feel you might as well get a netbook at that point.

Maybe in the future I'd be interested in a tablet but at the time I got my netbook, they didn't seem taht viable except to play.
