Well, you're on it this morning. I had just gotten up.

I took a turn and I'm looking for where it states you are required to run a front plate on a car. We have a cop that likes to sit out in front of the track's driveway and ticket the cars coming out.

there's some stink right now about license plates in general and how they passed some recent law, and RIGHT NOW you're not even required to have them becuase of how this law was written up.

Where did you get this? Because this is in the transportation code for the current year.

(a) When a person registers a commercial motor vehicle under Section 502.433, the person shall pay a voluntary assessment of $5.(b) The county assessor-collector shall send an assessment collected under this section to the comptroller, at the time and in the manner prescribed by the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority, for deposit in the Texas agricultural fund.(c) The Texas Agricultural Finance Authority shall prescribe procedures under which an assessment collected under this section may be refunded. The county assessor-collector of the county in which an assessment is collected shall1) implement the refund procedures; and(2) provide notice of those procedures to a person paying an assessment at the time of payment.

Transferred, redesignated and amended from Transportation Code, Section 502.174 by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1296, Sec. 138, eff. January 1, 2012.

I was almost arrested for the same thing.

But, turns out I'm not a 22 year old boy on a gixxer after a pack of the same bike took over a freeway.

I'm not saying what the cop did was right. Hell, I'm shocked he waited until the guy was cuffed to take the helmet off. And, the way THAT went down was painful to watch. The entire exchange was tragic. My "favorite" part of the video was the backup officer stopping the already irritated traffic to cut across all lanes to exit.
