Glad to see someone else is a collector of Seiko automatics.

They aren't very expensive to purchase, but they have a great feel and balance and are made well.

The 1970-1985 is the golden era of automatic watches.

I'm glad to see the re-birth of the Tag automatics.

The automatics are making quite of a comeback right now. I think that even Swiss Army is coming out with automatics. Doxa is alive and well after its return to the market a few years back. I can't quite decide if I want to get the new 5000T or the classic 1000T.

I've got a Maratec Zulu dive strap coming for the Rolex. I told the chick at the watch store that I'll need her to take the bracelet off for me when the nylon band come. The look on her face was unforgettable.

"You going to take these watches diving?"

"Uh, my Omega had been hitting the surf with me all these years and yes the Rolex will go diving with me as well. You DO know that it's called the Sea Dweller, right?"

My daily watch is a Seamaster, I have the smaller dial, which looks like the one you have there.

After watching Castaway, I decided I'd like to have an automatic watch, not that I'll every be lost at sea, But if I was.........

I have a low-end Seiko right now, when I care to wear a watch it fits the bill.
If money weren't as much of an issue, I'd opt for something like this http://www.raymondweil.us/Media/RWUS...t-20001_lv.jpg

It'll be interesting to see how many automatics make a comeback now that ETA has put the nix on selling movements to marques outside of the Swatch company.

I'm glad to see companies producing more watches in house of their own design. It's like Aprilia moving from Rotax to in-house designs.

I actually look to for vintage automatics from 1969-1980.

Although, I really want an Omega Mark V with the Caliber 1045 (Lemania 5100) movement.

Very rare produced for a few years in German Speaking countries only.
