He's very well trained and knows that when I put his harness on it is time to work and avoid all distractions. We've come across squirrels, rabbits, dogs, cats and just about everything else in the two years we've been doing this together without incident despite the fact that he was extremely aggressive when I got him and has a super-high prey drive. Sometimes he has the cart hooked up, sometimes its just me on rollerblades. He knows "leave it", "left", "right", "GO!", "MUSH!", "TROT!", and "WHOOOAAAA!!!"

He is the fastest/strongest dog I've ever been around and can outrun Greyhounds as long as they're not in peak training condition. He averages 20mph on runs over the course of a few miles and can hit higher speeds when excited. The worst thing that ever happened to us was we came over a hill once on some trails and at the bottom of the hill was a mud slick on the trail. Couldn't slow down in time and wiped out. Worst rash I've ever had, put me on a cane for two weeks. I was wearing thick Wrangler jeans at the time, so that gives you an idea how fast we were going...

I have another dog who's trained like this too, though her paws aren't as tough as his. I can hook them together for extended bicycle rides and never have to pedal. The basically race each other the whole time.

This was our first try with the cart, before I realized how fast he could pull 300lbs...turned out to be too unstable so I modified a bicycle cart and mounted the wagon as a seat.

Our skating antics even got us a FULL PAGE picture in the Fort Worth Star Telegram.

I could believe that, My boxer is small(45-48lbs), but she is the fastest dog I have ever seen. Faster than my uncles Afgan Hound.

There's no doubt they're built for speed. Rosco spins 360's without losing a step when he's being chased.

He can also jump straight up into the box of a silverado from a standstill. I sometimes wonder if he's part deer..

HAHA! Firefly does that too when she is being chased. She has also jumped up in the air, done a 360 overtop of the dog chasing her, land behind the other dog and run the other way before the other dog even noticed she was gone.

The speed is awesome, but that agility is what blows me away. 90 degree turns at full speed...and you can almost hear him laughing at the other dogs trying to keep up.

I've been trying to pull a vid off of a broken phone. If I can you'll laugh your ass off. I could swear he IS laughing as he's running circles around me.
