It reminds me of a one-off that was built using 2 cylinders off of a truck's V-8, but for the life of me I can't remember.

1938 rolls royce merlin V-twin. 5 litres, but still a twin. The front two cylinders sliced off a Merlin V12 aircraft engine from world war II. (used in Mosquito bombers).
