while I agree Canadian courts suck balls, you guys shouldnt get up too high on your horse. You make very little money suing in Canada (2500$ max for whiplash). As opposed to the millions you can make for hurting yourself while robbing someone elses property down there...

Every now and then we have a stupid result like that here, though I agree that they are less common.

The level of award in the US is generally at what we see as being ridiculous levels because their medical costs are so much higher than ours. Imagine having to shell out $1M a year for home medical care for the rest of your life, because you have been crippled. Up here the largest portion of that would be covered by government.
