and that's why its only $30 - cheap track day and when you are a crackhead track addict you take anything - cheap dirty nasty disease ridden snow filled rain covered.. whatever.. just wave the fucking green flag and move out of the way..
I'd love to hit up a track day... I'd be down to go...

my point was more from the organizers standpoint... do they really expect to get a good turn out and good weather? that's quite a gamble I'd think...

No, it's because they can rent the track out for cheap as fuck because its not actually even their open season yet. Thats why they can charge $30 for a race school/track day. Weather is usually rideable, and turnout is always pretty good.

79 people including me although i am yet to be listed so either my entry was lost in the mail or they missed putting me on the list - hoping for the later.. guess i will find out saturday because their website hasn't been updated since 2002 and they update the pre-entry list about as often.. but here is the list - quite a few people signed up - about as many as say a july trackday.. when it started out a few years ago you might see 20-30 bikes there.. it gets bigger, and more expensive, every year.. if i remember right it used to be $10-$15.. sunday is test & tune that is 2 groups - numbers and no numbers that is 2 groups for $60 - really that is the better day.. here is the pre-entry list:

Two inches of snow on the ground this morning. Should be melted by the end of the day though.

Turned out pretty good this weekend - got about 30 laps in.. it turned out 37 and sunny on saturday.. not an optimum day but could have been alot worse.. tires never got heated up though so probably were (never checked) turning 2:00-2:30 laptimes.. nothing spectacular.. did get to test the new chain and sprockets and scrub the new pilot powers in.. chain and sprockets are kick ass.. lot better power range and right now..

Thought everything came with a 525 stock, except liters, with a 530.
