I'm personally eyeballing the Multistrada.. aside from my love affair with Ducati, having sat on several other sport touring/adventure bikes, it physically fits me the best - mainly in that I can actually get both the balls of my feet on the ground. Even the 800GS was just a little too tall and top-heavy for me. The bells and whistles on the Touring model are pretty nice, too... but I'm not sure what your price range is, nor what kind of features you're looking for specifically.

The new Multi is a pretty killer bike.

I'm not sure I could touch the ground on the Multi...I've never sat on one. But I'm 5'10" so I think I could probably manage.

I'm 5'6" and felt pretty comfortable on it, but then I have something like a 30" inseam.

The multi stirs something in me but its more gastro intestinal

my friend dave had the previous generation, he enjoyed riding it and was a capapble city/touring bike but to me it hit every branch of the ugly tree on the way down

The connie and FJ may be a bit too pricey right now. I iwll se ehow I like the ninja 1k and connie. If one blows me away I iwll start paperwork this weekend, otherwise I may call the triumph dealer back and see if he still has that package for the 1050.

You can find a bunch of 6th gens for sale with bags used at good prices. Id stay with an '07 and up for updated ECU and fueling programming.

its something I am considering too see if I can find a good deal on one with low miles, kinda locally
