facebook was a lot better when the users were controlled to some extent (college only days) and you knew people were who they said they were.

It's quickly becoming as sucky as myspace.

when I first started on it, you needed a specific colleges .edu address. It was only open to certain colleges. It was below 50 at the time I joined.

I didnt join until the end of 2005, you just needed a .edu address then.

I know a 40yo that still uses their .edu email address. Probably not the demographic FB was looking for when it was developed.
