Do you loan your stuff out? - Page 2

i've had too many things destroyed or badly damaged. now days nothing to no one. i've had to pay huge repair bills on cars, rebuild frames on trailers, etc. not dealing with it anymore.

depends on the item, but close friends and family only.
with friends, its only ones i know are trustworthy, and can probably afford to fix any issues that may be caused.

Perhaps not anymore but... only to those I know will take care of what is loaned. As of today though, only tater's whore of an ex-wife.

I generally keep stuff until it explodes, so I'm generally not too perturbed if it gets messed up by someone. I also am quite fortunate to have good friends that I can trust with my stuff. I can lend pretty much anything I have to anyone I hang out with knowing that it will come back probably in better condition than I lent it out.

I'll loan shit to people, but they're people I can trust. Everything I own is overinsured anyway. Sure, wreck my bike, I'll pay off the loan and get a new one for free. Just make sure you total it.

For big stuff I put if you can afford to replace it.. but even then just the close inner circle of family and friends.

My sister decided to lend her bf my old PS2 and about 10 games that he decided to turn around pawn off. Not much value anymore, but it taught me to safe guard my shit. I also learned several new cuss words and keep a baseball bat in my room now.

About $20 in value is my absolute limit and that is only to very close friends. Family are out! They are the first to fuck you in my experience. To be Honest, I'd rather just fix it for you or give you a ride.

I'm pretty open with my stuff. If I can help somebody out by loaning them something, I do. Sometimes I get burned, but it's pretty rare and doesn't outweigh the chance to help someone out in my opinion.

If it's worth over $10k though, we're at least going to be on a first-name basis.

So for this thread I'll take "I'll loan to close friends or family."

I'll loan clothes and such out too my close friends no problem. Car only to those I know are good drivers. Which only 2 people have ever been allowed to drive it. Had two ppl drive it and I got pissy cause they suck at driving so never again for them...

And it'll prolly change when I get the new one in Jan but maybe not.
