Does it effect quality or accuracy of the weapon? If not, who really gives a fuck if it says sataneatskittens666 as a serial number? This a is a private company that can use whatever method it wants to serialize it's equipment. If the government doesn't like this practice, they can go to another company to purchase weapons.

It's the PR nightmare that matters. They should have known word would get out, and that people in the Middle East would "interpret" it a certain way.
