Confiscated?? One of my bike friends here in Atlanta turned out to be a bank robber. Did yours turn out to be an arsonist?

Exactly! Haha, people keep offering to help me paint it, and I turn them all down. I figure there's a direct correlation between how pretty my bike is and how likely I am to crash it.

I will, life is just on other things right now...

And no, but when its bad enough they have to make you move out while they make repairs, they have a company come in, pack EVERYTHING (literally), clean it, and store it until the house is ready for occupation with no access to us to get anything out.

Sanchez, did anything ever come out of this? Like assistance from the responsible party or an apology?
Yeah, the CR was a friend of the track day organizer. They did both apologize, but it was kind of back handed. The CR claimed he passed me on the outside of the corner and that I somehow lost control and hit him. In reality, he passed me on the inside, ran wide, and physically knocked me off the track. The corner worker saw the whole thing plain as day and backed my side of the story, but the CR basically called us both liars. The apology I got was more along the lines of "I'm sorry the CR made a bad pass and caused you to hit him" rather than "I'm sorry the CR hit you." He did at least admit he was riding too aggressively and accepted fault from that perspective, but being called a liar really pissed me off.

It's all water under the bridge now, though. Stuff happens! That's a risk you take when you get out on a race track. I got out of it with only a skinned knee, and that's all that matters.

Oh, and that's the main reason I have a camera on my bike now.

Nothing will slow you down like riding a bike that you're afraid to crash, either because it's too expensive OR too pretty. I have a picture of myself smoking a 1098R on my SuMo because of it.

Let me see if I can find the pics, it was April of '08 at Barber. Guy had a red 1098R and a nice set of Spidi leathers, and puma boots. All of it brand spaking new. This is the only shot I have of it, that's the 1098 in the upper left hand corner.
