If I had the money for yet another project car, I'd probably find a restorable 1965 Ford Falcon Sprint...and that crate motor would fit the bill (and the engine bay) rather nicely.

Edit: add pic

What flipped me out while looking for a good pic of the 65 Falcon, was discovering that Ford apparently sent the molds to the old 62 Falcon down to Argentina, where the car, with grill and taillight updates, was apparently manufactured until 1991 (!!!).

[QUOTE=TommyHotWheel;399052]For $7,000 I could have paint, wheels, tires, interior, suspension and engine rebuild w/ power adder plus money for gas and maybe a cage.[QUOTE]

Maybe if you are buying used parts. No way $7K is going to get you a 9-10 second motor(that will last more than a week) with all those other parts.

That would be nice to swap in my vert, but for that dosh, I would like a little whine with my cheese.

Depends a lot on what car/engine you go with. A glhs omni with a lightly built 2.4 swap and a bigass turbo could do those numbers pretty damned cheap

A car that is going to get a new crate motor(any crate motor) is going to be alot nicer than any FWD dodge, even if that dodge is mint.

I can build up an oil cooled GSXR that will stomp all for $7K, but I try to compare apples to apples.

The argument is what you can do for the price of that engine, not a comparison of a car sporting it.
