Yeah solid shit is expensive. You see those prices and then people understand why television stations (like the one I work at) still edit tape to tape...and not on computers.

My lappy's been doing me good while being out here. probably will be retired as a media center PC for the living room when I get home....... Plannin' on building me up something nice w/ 2TB of storage (okay, really 1.5tb in RAID5 config and only truely 1.4TB useful, but still). Imagine how many home movies i could put on that suckah! |

Get a mac. It will honestly take you a day or two and you will be completely used to it. The main reason I bought mine was because I didn't like vista, and everything else had vista on it. I am 100% satisfied with it. You can get Microsoft office for mac so the format isn't messed up. |

Yeah my thing is I'd fill up that 1.5tb I think fairly quickly.... Got a lotta photoediting stuff to toss up that way.... and I plan on snappin' a fair bit when I get home..... well that's the plan anyways.
wiggle that in with the new house, the soon-to-be-wifey, the pups, the Hayabusa.... ehh.. might not be a very realistic plan. |
