Yep I agree with you all for the most part.

If true this is pretty cool for BMW and the sportbike world imho.

I haven't seen the rev limiter in 5th or 6th on the R1 in a while...actually never in 6th.

German first year model and maintenance...yep both are concerns.

I am looking forward to the comparison test with the other big boys though...I must admit.

ABS would be nice....I think.

The electronics are a concern for me and I hate linked brakes!!! As far as ABS goes... I kinda like doing stoppies once in a while. I'd have to ride it and see. I've sampled some of BMW's "innovative" ideas in the past and was not impressed. It's probably an old dog, new tricks scenario on my part.

I hear ya...I would like to ride it at some point...I've never tried out ABS on a bike...or linked brakes.

Well I did ride a Goldwing but didn't test the brakes out.
