Max weight for an 18-wheeler trailer is something like 44,000 lbs. Factor in the tractor, and that's quite a bit of weight to be pulling around.

max weight of a truck + trailer max is 80,000 lbs

12,000 lbs on the front steer wheels

34,000 lbs on the drive wheels

34,000 lbs on the trailer wheels

most trailers will typically haul about 42,000 lbs

That's a typical situation.
