How are you suppose to play when you dont have a connection? I want to just turn on my machine. I dont want to have to logon. I dont give a shit about others stats. You havegto be online to go offline in steam. Retarded.

I think its activision or ea is wanting to sell games and have features locked untill you pay extra.

my PSP maintains my freakin' sanity when I'm on a plane for 3 hours and Little Johnny is in the back of the plane screaming at the top of his lungs.
Online gaming wouldn't help much there. True there are flights with WIFI and such but it's expensive as hell and the connections suck for streaming.

Um I had this back in the 90s... Sega TV or something. You paid $15/month and played all you wanted. Cool idea, imho. As far as being able to play offline, no one said that they were going to completely stop selling game disks, any more than "On Demand" or Netfix has completely eliminated movie sales. I wouldn't mind the option anyway.
