Yeah the C mode on the 750 is really tame, cant imagine what it's like on the 600.

those tuning mode things are kinda dumb to me. I really dont understand the purpose of them anyways. if you want the power of a 600, buy a 600, not a 1000.

Supposed to be for track days. On a wet track you can select a different mode. All they do is lower the throttle response. The top end is still there, it just doesn't accelerate as fast.

Fair enough....but I'm not a fan of modern electronics. Takes the control and excitement out....and it takes less skill to pilot the machine.

I like the option of putting it in C and riding in the wet. Just to see the difference. You wouldn't catch me riding in the wet anyway though.

why not? theres no law that says you have to crack the throttle as soon as you get on a sportsbike and even if you did it should only be a bit snappier than you are used to

That's very true. On these bikes you have to try to go fast. Even in A mode if you keep the bike below 6K rpm which is easy to do, its pretty noob friendly, once you crack 6500 all bets are off though and it's go time.

I scarred myself on an 01 F4i 600 when I first started riding last July. I was in a parking lot and opened the throttle a little faster than I had expected and gave myself a good little scare. I have done the exact same thing on my FZR and the bike barely lurched. I know that I now have a years worth of experience and I could probably handle it...but I like my "slow" little bike for now.
