One obligatory shot. Got there at sunrise (had to be about 8 degrees) and didn't see another person out there for over an hour. Absolutely amazing.

Thanks! They're still on my computer, I haven't had time to do much with them. Put a few on MySpace, but now I've actually got to get some work done and try to get some sleep tonight. China was much better when it felt like vacation...

A few people still wear them around here, but from what I hear it's people that are not feeling well. It's considered rude to cough near others/in public places here, so people with a cold/flu/bug of the day wear the masks to keep their germs to themselves.
Even fewer wear them to protect themselves from the smog (it's only been really bad here one day since I got here). No mention of SARS since I've been here. Although there are signs proclaiming "AIDS is not in China!". So it must be true. |
