I wouldn't take that as an absolute.
Also, from talking to friends who have them and have had need to send them in, their factory support is more than adequate as well.

SIGs are "good guns", but there are so many 'better' choices for a 'one and only' or 'first' selection, that I'd rule them out in this case.

never fired any of them whats the purpose of these guns if i may ask ? (home protection, target shooting, etc)
Home protection go with a 6 shooter never jam and extremely easy to use.
Target shooting get a 9mm of your preference (anything with a small caliber cheap round)
And remember a gun you cant get to in 10 seconds while groggy in the middle of the night is useless

neighbor just bought an XDM-40, nice piece. i have a kimber 1911 CDP Pro II.

dunno as usual, start small, this is your first gun, not your last.......

glocks are solid guns. ive had a SIG nice gun, dunno if it's worth the extra $
D/E waste of $

i'll tell you what my friend took the CHL class w/ a .380 he's was dead on , and accuracy is more important then size.

I have the springfield XD 40 but I want a Kimber 1911 real bad!

I could shoot the XD 40 all day. Very well balanced.

the Sig in isnt up for debate. I like how it feels in my hands (I have huge hands, im a monster).

Hell, i'd buy a DE 50AW if it was cheaper. Thats why I want a polymer and a 1911. the first to shoot, the second to admire (and shoot)

I missed out on an XD40 for $350 by a day. I was kicking myself in the ass on that one.

I am looking for something right now, and I'm kicking around either a glock or an XD. A buddy of mine just bought an XD45, when he gets it (FL has a waiting period) I'm going to try it out, I might have to pick one up depending on how much I like it.

I've fired a baby eagle before and they're nice. Not sure if they're worth the coin over a BHP but that's up to you. But as big as you are apoc I'd recommend an HK. I have a USP .45 fullsize and it's an awesome firearm. Reliable, accurate, and fun to shoot. The thing about it, it's BIG. A lot of people won't buy them because of the size, I personally like a more solid feel to a weapon, but as big as you are it'll be comfortable and I promise you won't find anything you like better. When you go back to the shop ask to hold a .45 USP and you'll be sold.

Remember, people who can't afford HK's buy SIGs. People who can't afford a SIG settle for a Glock. It's the difference between a Cadillac, a Lincoln town car, and a Honda Accord. The accord is nice and reliable, but who gives a fuck? A Lincoln town car is a nice car, it's a very nice car and nobody should be ashamed of driving one - but it's not a Cadillac.

No concealed carry in Canada though, to the range and back, and you need a permit (free, from the PD)
Actually we have CC in Canada. It's just that other than LEOs there may only be a dozen people in the country who qualify.
