I get a discount through work also, which would be nice. Do you stream a lot? Have you come close to hitting your cap? Do you use it heavily? I'm paying $50/month for garbage ATT DSL. Any opportunity to ditch their shit service is welcome, but I don't want to get something only to get kicked in the dick on overages.

Same here, no cable for a few years now (and I wasn't the one watching it when we did have it). My 4-yr-old knows how to use the netflix app on the iPad, and that's pretty much all we need.

High-def video is going to kill your cap, so yeah, it would never suffice for the regular TV watcher.

I have a Verizon LTE phone but they havent activated LTE in my home area yet. This Thanksgiving I went to my parent's place, where they do have LTE and I burned through 3 gigs in less than a week. Mostly downloading music and streaming video.

Id love to cut the cable cord but I DVR a lot of shows and watch a lot of live sports and I just cant do it yet. If I can get something like GoogleTV with a built in DVR and ESPN HD, I might do it.

.
Yeah you can take two guys watching the same HD video, same resolution, and same amount of time, and the guy with 4G will have downloaded more data than the guy with 3G. Even if it didn't noticeably improve quality.

Another Issue for me is Internet, I would ditch it completely but You can use a Hotspot for online gaming...The amount of Data used would put you at your cap in like a Day.

Suppose I could cut back to strictly Internet, But the companies around here actually offer BETTER Savings if you have two services with them I.E. It would cost me 60 plus tax for JUST internet and 80 Plus tax for Internet AND Cable...So to me the 20 Bucks is Justifiable.

Just some food for thought, I give you guys who dont run Cable props...I dont think I could do it at the moment.

Internet here is $80 by itself. Cable/internet package is $100. Cable/internet/phone brought it down to $90. Crazy thing is I never even hooked a phone up to it, but I got over 1000 calls incoming each month on my bill.

Was it a new number, or did you port over your existing one?

I have never in my adult life had a house phone, there is no reason for it. I'm thinking that its either close to another popular number and people missdial, or it was someone really popular number. Either way I don't care because without a phone hooked to it, it doesn't actually ring
