Pfft, US1 in the Keys has more fatal accidents per mile than any other highway in the US.

Scary paved road? Parts of the road coming down from Mount Evans, Colorado. Thousand foot drop offs, no shoulder and no guard rails. Steep and twisty? The road from Evergreen to the road going up Mount Evans.

I'd put I-85 in Atlanta in there somewhere. 85-95mph in a 55 won't even grab a cop's attention.
Seriously I would love to check out those roads. Only one I haev is the Gap.

Accidents happen at certain times, most often when the bars close. I've seen a couple nasty ones there. One was bad enough that they closed down the highway and people pulled grills and coolers out of cars and partied on the Highway.

True, it is pretty long, straight and flat. So the road itself isn't scary it's all the dipshit touristas that come down for the weekend and camp on the side of the road that don't know how to fucking drive.

Definitley. And add to that an impossibly long double-yellow at points and you have a recipe for risky passes. And morbid head-on collisions.
