What do you want to know?
The LCD display on this audio system is half-faded (it doesn't look bad in the pic, but in reality it's about half-gone)......, so I was curious whether the screen could be made healthy again, or if a total head unit replacement would be needed

Also wondering if the "Active Steering" option has a higher risk of needing repair compared to the normal steering.

They are bikes only, there are a lot of people that think Beemer is a car.

Yep.

This thread is full of it.

The $15k fine is laughable. Your typical E90 / E92 owner doesn't have $15k to their name anyway.

If true, I don't see why that wouldn't also be true for the E90's compeition, such as the G35, A4, ES350, etc.

The first question would need to be posed to an end user geek. My guys say you're better off replacing.

The second answer is they have not seen more repairs to active versus non. But, the client base for either are different. Meaning, casual commuting vs track style.

Thanks. Yeah there's a few I'm choosing between, the loaded ones tend to have active steering (black reservoir cap instead of green). There are mixed reviews on the forums. The people who have it claim that it's great, and the others say it sucks.

I'd agree with those except the ES350.

If you don't have $15k by the time you're 65, you don't drive a Lexus.
