It will be pretty reliable once you change out the drivetrain and redo all the wiring. Maybe swap out some suspension bits.

I couldn't do it. And the no a/c (and its not warm all that long here) manual windows and so on would drive me nuts. I don't really even want another car without heated mirrors after getting them on the Tribute. I like features.

I have manual locks, mirrors, windows in my work truck. You get use to it. It's A/C ready so that is only $700 to add and it would have to be.

I would get a 2-3 year old BMW under the CPO program. For the price of that Volvo, you could have a turbo 335i in either sedan, coupe, or convertible, with tons more power, more luxury, real RWD, and a better shifter. BMW provides free maintenance for the first 3 yrs, so you don't really need to worry about previous owners skipping an oil change, especially since they might get screwed later if they had to make a warranty claim.
Yeah I would not go that old on a car. If I did I would go old Supra.

I'm not sure about the 2-3yr old BMW. I should maybe look into it.

I'm on the phone with the mitsubishi dealer now... looking for a ralliart

I hate it. I had manual windows on my first two cars. Never since. Manual in a dump truck with no A/C. That drove me nuts. My step fathers Ranger has manual windows as well and I don't like it.

Power mirrors, power windows, a/c are things I would want if I was buying a car. Heated mirrors would be right up there on the list.

Im usually the one to pan german cars. the e28 is a special exception though. m30 I6's are known to go well past 300k with basic maintenance and they are fairly cheap.

Well I looked into the Mit Lancer all around. The EVO while very nice and I'm sure very powerful, are just too much money.

The Ralliart, besides the fact that NOBODY has one in stock. It only comes in a TC SST trans. I don't want an automatic regardless if it has slapshift/paddle BS. I want an F'in manual.

Further, the wife wasn't too keen on the pure jap car. She's fine with the european cars but says the jap car may be a bit much.
