Oh reception is shitty? lets just adjust the display to show shitty reception EVERYWHERE then people will be happy when they good reception!

oh and yeah we built in a flaw so we can charge you another $30 for an accessory that with our new reception policy, is useless.

So first they say it showed more bars than it should have, and now they say it didn't show enough bars? WTF

And how about mounting the antenna where it belongs, on the TOP of the phone, not on the bottom where most people would be holding it.

Probably no room because of both cameras .... no signal but I can video chat on my wifis

I'm not surprised. AT&T started out charging a ton for the original iPhone but they were able to institute significant price drops. From what I read at the time they did this because their profit from service for iPhone owners was much better than what they made from service for other phones. AT&T decided to sell the equipment at a loss subsidized by some of the profit from service.

Sony should be familiar with this business model since it is supposed to be the same concept they employed with the PS3 system (sold at a loss) vs. games and accessories (where Sony makes money).

Right, sony brought to cost to manufacture way down from the original models though. Remember og 60s and 20s have ps2 graphics and emotion chips

Don't be so cynical about it....didn't you read the letter from Steve Jobs? Apple was STUNNED to find that the formula used to calculate the signal strength was wrong all these years.
