I wonder what he would have done if there were no jobs, or the jobs college students usually take were being held by long term employees? Or if the scholarships weren't there?

This man is more like the .5%.

Seems like a moot point. Given that he's responding to the "99%" slogan, he's done all this recently. He got those jobs and those scholarships in the middle of the economic downturn, so apparently it's possible.

there are always jobs, whether they are "below" you is a personnal choice
and there are always old cronies who won't retire.......its the way of the world.

we have a 75+ y.o. engineer and 1 that this is his first job out of college.

I'm not saying that his claim isn't impressive. It most certainly is. What I'm saying is, he's not the norm. He's more of the exception.

Apparently the majority of protestors are angry over "government corruption." And the list Racer X posted to start this thread was a user-submitted list to the OccupyWallSt.com web forum, not an "official" list of demands any more than my hate thread is official for this forum.

ThinkProgress points out that those three jobs are "blogging at RedState.com, a lucrative television contract with CNN, and a radio gig that paid the previous host $165,183 a year."
The spirit of the 53% appeals to me at a certain level but I take the actual "pics" with a grain of salt. Especially when the campaign was started by an individual with ties to to GOP. I'm not implying that this is a viral marketing campaign but it would make perfect sense for certain agencies to plant pics and stories.

Living below your means is certainly the exception.

Being able to is not.
