Other than the guy is a douche for taking a sleeping pill then shooting his face when he woke up, the whole thing screams frivolous lawsuit to me.Ambien is a powerful drug that puts you to sleep you should expect to go asleep after you take it. But, they are not saying that the lawsuit has any merrit, just that they fucked up procedurally and need to give the guy a second chance:

82 years old. My guess is the guy was tired of living and tried to take his own life, but failed. After failure, decided he'd try to make some money off the good ole American system of "it can't be MY fault...I should get some money"
