I read a story the other day that the marines filed a lawsuit against teh Army because they started field testing MARPAT designed uniforms. WTF?!?! The marines own the patent on the MARPAT design. this is just stupid because if the design works then why not keep people in an effective designed uniform. The ACU in my professional opinion is an utter failure. The physical design is mostly good, however the materials used are inferior, and the colors and pattern just plain old suck balls. They fixed a lot of the problems when they started using the multicam pattern, but the materials are still inferior and fall apart under moderate use. I couldnt find the lawsuit story, but here is one of the earlier ones discussing the fight over the design http://www.armytimes.com/community/o...arpat-011011w/ http://www.armytimes.com/community/o...arpat-060611w/
