Help! takes a second
im a bit of a perfectionist i guess. well, lil things bug me sometimes, so i need you guys to help me out. can you measure the bearing to bearing distance on your back wheel, and post up the length, bike year make and model, and rim size? just use a tape measure, dont bother takin your back wheel off....like u would lol. another measurement i could use is from the outer edge of the brake disc to the outer edge of the sprocket.
its pretty simple to do, just stick a tape measure thru the sprocket, thru the wheel, and hook it on the brake disc. should be between 7-10 inches, my honda cbr f4 is 8 and 3/8ths inches from the disc to the edge. need something smaller than that, even a 1/4 less would be good. Post up whenever you can, thanks in advance. |

my mistake-dont bother if its belt drive, or if u have a rim thats less than 5.5inches wide, or not 17 or 18in diameter.
azoom-id rock a duc wheel on my kawi, custom baby! basically if you have a 5.5x17, 6x17, 6.25x17 or 5.5x18, 6x18, 6.25x18, i need that measurement. that pretty much covers all sportbikes. thx |

What are you trying to replace?
could you just get it machined? I got a machinest that will fix or make anything for $50 an hour worth of work. |

na, my wheel cant be machined to fix it. unless i got the base of each sprocket stud machined down, then used washers in addition to the nuts to secure the sprocket. pretty sure that would be more than an hour, probably about 200bucks total plus shipping... kinda a last resort but thanks. i could get my stock wheel widened 2.5 inches and increase the diameter a inch for 350, and then my wheels would match....
im trying to line up my sprockets and wheels. my rear wheel needs to go to the left about 1/4-3/8 of an inch......but at the same time, my sprocket needs to go to the right about 1/4-3/8 of a inch as well. that would make the sprockets perfectly in line, AND the rear perfectly in line with the front. i can easily move the wheel to the left, but that throws the sprocket off by even more. i could get a custom offset rear sprocket made for about 175, but then i'd need to spend 175 each time i changed ratios-fuck that. easy fix-different rear wheel, one with the sprocket closer to the edge of the rim. i dont have time to get to the dealer with a tape measure, so i was asking you guys/girls to help me out. |

when I changed my tripples this winter I had to machine down the fork brace and its mounts, the wheel spacers, and the rotor side of the hub. Sometimes machining is just simpler

not in this case.
machining really is last resort-if i find a wheel thats the right size, its a simple swap, and i can sell my rim to some1 who wants track rims. ends up being damn near free. new rim is ez-machining the one i got now is not cost effective or easily done. i cant just go to a machine shop without exhausting my other, more cost effective paths. doesnt make sense. totally 4got your duc was sss |

Well I'm all belt drive on my bike and belt final drive on the wife's sporty... so no help from me...
