rear/front stand
I'm thinking about buying a rear + front stand from a local rider. This is what he said about it:

Fairly sure he is just talking about the headlight assembly/fairings in the front. i'd have to see the tripple stand to see if its gonna be a problem for you. I dont have a tripple stand, my front sits on its forks. not really a big deal unless you're looking to take you're wheels off.
just ride over there and see if you can get it up . price seems right. |

That is what is commonly referred to as a "pin-lift" front stand. There is a hole in the bottom of the steering head tube that the "pin" on the front stand will fit into, and then lift the bike off the ground. It is an excellent stand to have if you plan to do maintainence on the forks of your bike, because you can remove everything, including the top triple clamp, while the bike is resting on that stand. At $60 that's a steal. You might need to order a different "pin" because all bikes are different, although if it worked on a GSXR there's a chance it'll work on your SV as well.

its a rear stand w/ front stand attachment. I'll probably meet up with him and see if it works on my bike.

A brand new rear T-rex stand is gonna run you about $60.
or $130ish for front and rear with tripple mount. SO, with this, you have a rear, or a front. get that, and then get another rear stand. You have either 2 rears or a front and a rear... |
